Lyrics

Complicated Woman
© Susie Strange

I’m a complicated woman looking for a simple man
Yes, I’m a complicated woman looking for a simple man
And I’ve been looking all around this world (state, town, room)
just as hard as I can.

I’m an educated woman, I can show you my degrees
I will thrill you in the boardroom and bring you to your knees.
But I can’t seem to find a man, who knows how to please.

Now can anybody tell me where to find a simple man?
One not so worried about his hairline or his tan.
Don’t need diplomas or a Ph.D as long as he can satisfy me.

I’m an independent woman, I can make it on my own
But I’m growin’ awful weary of spending every night alone.
What I’d like is a simple man waitin’ for me at home.

I’ve got yoga, therapy, work and play.
I’m running from morning till the end of day
I ain’t got time to figure you out … but I’ve got time to twist and shout.
